Advanced Medicine Recall 1st Edition - James D. Bergin

Advenced Medicine Recall
Advanced Medicine Recall (Recall Series) [Paperback] - James D. Bergin (Author). Advanced Medicine Recall is written primarily for fourth year medical students, sub-interns, and interns. It expands upon the core clinical specialty areas within internal medicine—cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, gastroenterology, hematology, oncology, infectious disease, endocrinology, allergy and immunology, rheumatology, neurology, and dermatology. This book is written in the rapid-fire question and answer format of the Recall Series, with the question on the left side of the page and the answer on the right. Mnemonics are interspersed throughout. Additional chapters in Advanced Medicine Recall include Environmental Medicine, Psychiatry, and The Consultant. The focus of the advanced material is on differential diagnosis, patient management, and disease management. I found this interesting book after memorizing "Medicine Recall". I am one of the medicine residents but there are so many things for me to know... This is one of the "painful" books, because it pimps a lot. I have been enjoying reading this in the bus in every AM and PM... I think those questions are more difficult than board qs. Problem is the volume of books.

Practical Occupational Medicine 2nd Edition (Hodder Arnold Publication)

Practical Occupational
Medicine
Practical Occupational Medicine (Hodder Arnold Publication) [Paperback] - Raymond M. Agius (Author), Anthony Seaton (Author). Practical Occupational Medicine is the first new UK general textbook of occupational medicine of this millennium. It is produced by two eminent leaders of occupational medicine in the UK. In these regards, it is long awaited and expectations are high. The second edition of Practical Occupational Medicine bridges the gap between day-to-day clinical practice, concerned primarily with diagnosis and treatment of disease, and occupational health practice which is concerned with the prevention of work-related disease and the management of ill health in relation to the workplace. All aspects of the clinicians' role are covered, from occupational history-taking through to rehabilitation and health promotion. Important changes in this new edition include an emphasis on key principles of good practice, enhanced international applicability and enhanced, more structured, presentation of information. In addition to general revision and updates throughout the text, the case histories have been revisited throughout, the section on disability and fitness for work has been thoroughly reworked and a new chapter on the delivery of occupational health care is included.

Fundamentals of Digital Imaging in Medicine

Fundamentals of Digital
Imaging in Medicine
Fundamentals of Digital Imaging in Medicine [Paperback] Roger Bourne (Author). In general, image processing texts are intended for students of engineering and computer science, and there is little written at all on the specific requirements of medical image processing. Students of medical radiation science (Diagnostic radiography, Nuclear medicine, Radiation therapy) usually have minimal mathematical and computer science training and find the available texts incomprehensible. A text that explains the principles of image processing in minimally-mathematical language is needed for these students. Contrary to the claims of some textbook authors, the vast majority of technologists that process images do not need to understand the mathematics involved, but would nevertheless benefit from a thorough understanding of the general process. Fundamentals of Digital Imaging in Medicine is a primer for students of medical radiology, designed to demystify the mathematics that imaging theory resides in. The focus on medical imaging accompanied by an approach that forgoes complex mathematics for intuitive explanation makes this book accessible and relevant to the medical radiology student without advanced training in mathematics.
